To Better Health, Naturally by Brenda Erby Fudge

July 29, 2014 By Dan Feuer

You Can’t Afford To Get Sick

Sad words, but certainly the general consensus these days! What did it cost the last time you or your child were sick? Let’s list all the aspects and total up everything.
First: There’s normally a day or two missed from work or school. What did that cost you?
Second: There may have been a trip to the doctor. Cost?
Third: Chances are, there were prescriptions involved. Cost?
Fourth: It may seem a bit nosey, but how long did it take to get well?
These are important questions, and dare say, with expensive answers! We’re all grateful for doctors and hospitals, and there’ll be times in our lives when there are no other alternatives, but suppose you could care for yourself and your family, safely and naturally at home, even if just half the time. Look at the money and time you’d save!
With just a few essential oils around the house, this can become a reality, and it already has for thousands of families. Compare the following prices to your total above.
A child’s fever can normally be lowered in a matter of 5 to 10 minutes with nothing more than pure therapeutic grade peppermint oil. Now that’s going to cost you about 33 cents.
Suppose your child has an ear infection. My goodness, those normally take close to a week to clear up, right? That’s certainly a lot of time missed from school and/or work. Basil, lavender, and melaleuca (tea tree) oils are three that have been known to clear up an ear infection within the first 24 hours. And the cost? Approximately 65 cents.
Have you “done the math”? You have spent LESS time away from work or school, LESS money at the doctor’s office, and LESS on prescriptions. Recovery time has been cut more than half in most cases, and there’s the added bonus of having kept dangerous toxins and synthetics out of your family’s systems, simply because you were smart enough to stock your medicine cabinet with just a few essential oils.
Essential oils work quickly and safely within the blood stream to reduce infection and illness. Due to the high potency of pure therapeutic grade oils, many prefer to dilute them with fractionated coconut oil.
The highest health benefits are always derived from aromatic compounds, properly tested for purity and composition, and certified to be free of contaminants, pesticides and chemicals. Should labels read “do not ingest” or “do not take internally”, then by all means, leave them on the shelf and look elsewhere. It never hurts to keep your doctor “in the loop”, but consider using safe, alternative, natural solutions every chance you get!
