Debbi Brawley, Photographer/ Real Estate Broker
Debbi Brawley first started taking photos of this beautiful area after discovering that many people in Arkansas and the surrounding states were unfamiliar with the Greers Ferry Lake and Little Red River areas. She knew that promoting this virtually unknown paradise would be essential for her success in real estate. After doing a little research, she decided social media was the best platform to reach the most people, and she began showcasing the beauty of the Greers Ferry Lake area in social media posts. What began as a quest to promote the area has blossomed into a hobby that served her well in both real estate and photography.
Although mainly self-taught, Debbi has taken a course from Lee Philips in Fairfield Bay and has also attended two Arkansas Women Photographers annual retreats, one of which was recently held in Heber Springs. Debbi has been published in local vacation guides, including several cover shots, and her photos have been appeared on billboards, websites, magazine ads, and television. She has also sold a number of photos to individuals and businesses in the area. She enjoys chasing waterfalls and sunsets with her friends, Mary Pike and Andrea Epperson, and loves to explore the mountains and creeks in the area. She explains, “You never know what gorgeous surprise you will find around the corner.”
Compliments abound regarding how beautiful Debbi’s photos are, and she especially loves hearing her Texas skydiving friends say they had no idea Arkansas was so beautiful! But Debbi’s response is what she always hears from fellow photographers: “I just shoot what is there.”
