Joseph Ernest (Joe) Santo Jr. passed away December 14, 2017, and his wife Lucille De Rouen Santo passed away March 6, 2018. They were married on December 21, 1951, and were married for 66 years. Joe was born September 25, 1929, in New Orleans, LA. Joe graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge then received his masters’ degree from New Orleans Theological Seminary. He was the quintessential Minister of Music throughout his life, and served at churches in Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. In retirement, he was organist/pianist then Minister of Music at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Fairfield Bay. Lucille was born January 30, 1928, in Port Arthur, Texas, but grew up in Baton Rouge. She played clarinet in the LSU marching band. She was a reading teacher for six years, and otherwise a homemaker. They are survived by a daughter Sue Ellen Rankin (Casey), granddaughter Brooke Moseley (Andrew), grandson Chris Lance, grandson Baker Santo, great grandson Hank Moseley, and Joe’s brother Bill Santo (Louise). Inurnment service will take place at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church Columbarium on Saturday, April 21, at 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to the music ministry of First United Methodist Church, 200 N. Market St., Benton, AR 72015.
