Moving Fairfield Bay Forward Things to Do Action Team presents their Hidden Treasures Market at Woodland Mead Park on September 11th. This Market is free and open to the public. There is also no cost to have a booth for our vendors. Text Mandy at 330-962-8360 or Jackie at 501-253-4716 to sign up.
Second Annual Scarecrow Competition. This event is free to participate in and is open to all individuals within the city limits of Fairfield Bay and to all businesses that are members in good standing with the Chamber of Commerce. You must sign up to participate. Sign-up by email, [email protected]beginning September 13th – September 24th by 5:00 pm, no exceptions! We have to have time to print the ballots for the judging to start on the 27th. Email us your name, or the name of your business, your address, and your contact phone number. There are two divisions, Business, and Individuals. Our winners with a $125 cash prize that will be awarded to the People’s Choice winner in each division. Scarecrows will be set up at Woodland Mead Park and will be tagged with the participant’s name for judging purposes. Scarecrows will be set up from September 24th – 26th. All participants will be judged by category and will receive a certificate of recognition. Judging will begin on September 27th and run until October 8th. You must keep your scarecrow out for display during this time. Ballots and a list of all participants will be available at the Chamber office, 365 Dave Creek Parkway, for people to pick up. Visit each scarecrow during this time and turn in your vote by 5:00 pm on October 8th. Winners will be announced the following day. We will have three judges also judging the scarecrows during this time and judging by category so that all winners will be announced on the 9th. Categories for judging are Most traditional, Happiest, Scariest, Prettiest, Ugliest, Most Creative, Fall Favorite, Whimsical, Fairy Tale, Animal, Funniest, Most Original, Cutest, and “Other” as needed.Jackie SikesExecutive Director
