Patti Manville talked to us about her hobby and business of traveling with groups of friends and Eagle Bank investors. Patti is originally from Indiana but has lived in several different states before moving to Fairfield Bay in 1989. Patti said that many of her jobs have been leading up to her career at present because she has worked in the travel industry for many years, including working for Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism at both the tourism and state parks division. Patti Manville has worked for Eagle Bank since November of 2000 and at that time it was Heber Springs State Bank. She was lucky enough to be asked if she would be interested in heading the travel club for the bank. After Patti learned about the job and its responsibilities and great travel opportunities she jumped at the chance to help grow the club and take people all over the world. Since that time, Patti and all her fun loving followers have travelled to Europe, Asia, North and South America and Australia. Patti gave us an enthusiastic slide presentation at the Fairfield Bay Rotary Club, where she shared many wonderful places that her club has travelled to. She also enjoyed telling funny anecdotes about their adventures. I imagine travelling with Patti must be a cheerful and uplifting experience. Eleanor and I have also joined Eagle Bank and thus are looking forward to savor some of the places we have not been to yet. One of the ways to broaden our outlook about the world we live in is to travel. It puts us in direct touch with other cultures, gives us an good view of what places look like and how people think and act. It broadens our education and rounds out the rough edges of our personality, all while we have lots of fun.
