June 1st 5:45 Friday Night Auction: Sister’s Emporium will be hosting an auction every 1st and third Friday of the month at their location in the old Wal-Mart building across from the county annex complex with a host of antique and functional items to be auctioned off.

June 2nd 6:30 P.M. – 9:30 P.M. Rockin’ on the River: OPEN MIC 1st Saturday night of the month 6:30-9:30pm at the Archey Fork Park amphitheater Brought to you by the Clinton A&P Commission. For more info, email [email protected]

Upcoming Events

June 8th 8:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. Bluffton Preserve Trail Work & Archey Fork Inner Tube Swim: We will begin the day building hiking and biking trails as part of the Bluffton Multi-Use Trail System. This work may include rock work, vegetation removal, and building rough cedar bridges tools will be provided if needed. We will end the morning with a refreshing swim and inner tube float through a scenic stretch of the river flowing through the preserve with lunch provided. We will meet at the Bluffton Cemetery at the preserve gate entrance. This is approximately a 20 minute drive north of Clinton. The road to get into the preserve is a steep gravel road that may not be suitable for lower vehicles. There will be a rustic bathroom onsite to use. June 9th 9:00 A.M. – Noon Picking on the Square: Join other local residents for an acoustic music jam in Clinton on the historical downtown square under the big tree on the west side of the court house (during inclement weather session will be held in the Van Buren County Democrat Office). This is an acoustic gathering so no mics or amps. Bringing a chair is recommended, come join our musical circle or just stop by and listen.

June 9th 9:00 A.M. Ozark Golf Classic: The Ozark Health Foundation presents this 4 man scramble at Indian Hills Golf Course in Fairfield Bay. This tournament will begin at 9:00 A.M. with a shotgun start. Contact Tawny for more information or to sign your team up 501-745-9303.

June 9th South Fork Nature Center Finger Food Concert Benefit: This event will be held at the FFB Conference Center. “Finger Food” Live Acoustic Concert Fundraiser, to benefit the nature trails, education center, & conservation programs of South Fork Nature Center on Greers Ferry Lake. Doors open for silent auction with local art at 6:30, followed by award-winning acoustic guitar trio “Finger Food.” More info at http://www.southforknaturecenter.org

June 9th 11:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. 6th Annual Clinton Gospel Fest: Admission is FREE to the 6th Annual Clinton Gospel Fest and will be held at Clinton High School cafeteria. This great day of gospel music kicks off with hometown favorites, The Kings Highway. Back by popular demand, Charles Crain from Presley’s in Branson will perform at noon followed by the gospel quartet Hallelujah Harmony, Spirit Breez, Sulphur Rd. Pickers, and May Garden.
There will be door prizes and you can purchase barbecue, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, drinks, or raffle tickets to bid on over 30 fantastic raffle prizes with all the proceeds going to the VBC Literacy Council (Adult Learning Center), a local non-profit that is working to raise the adult literacy rate in our county!

June 9th 1:00 P.M. Maximum Living Support Group: Roller-McNutt Funeral Home is sponsoring the Maximum Living Support Group for those of us that have lost loved ones. This event will be held at the Western Sizzlin. Attendees will be responsible for their own meals if they chose to dine. Future dates for this event is July 14th. Junes 12th 5:30 P.M. Town Hall Meeting: The Van Buren County Wellness Committee will be hosting Dr. Joe Thompson with Healthy Active Arkansas. This event is open to the public and will be held at the Clinton High School Cafeteria.

June 14th 6:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. Clinton City Council Meeting: Meetings of the Clinton City Council are held the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Clinton Municipal Airport off Hwy 16 East. The public and all press & media are invited to attend.

June 19th 5:30 P.M. Clinton Advertising and Promotion Meeting: The Clinton A&P Commission meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:00 P.M. at the Clinton Municipal Airport on Hwy 16 East. The meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

June 21st 6:00 P.M. Van Buren County Quorum Court: Meetings of the Van Buren County Quorum Court are held the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Van Buren County Annex building off Highway 65 in Clinton.

June 30th Archey Fork Festival: The Archey Fork Festival is provided free to the public and all are encouraged to spend a day enjoying everything Clinton has to offer.
Your day of events will at begin with a softball tournament in Archey Fork Park and a classic car show at 8:00 in Historic Downtown Clinton. From there you can join the fun at the 2nd Annual Clinton 500 Soap Box Derby Race on Factory Road beginning at 12:00. Starting at 4:00 the midway opens with the carnival, craft fair, side walk coloring contest, and food in Archey Fork Park. With the annual fishing derby starting at 6:00 we will also begin the live music and continue the fun until the firework display at dark.
June 30th Clinton Arkansas bring your blanket, your lawn chair and your family and enjoy a day of family fun on the banks of two rivers in the foothills of the Ozarks.

August 11th 7:00 P.M. Greater Tuna: This fun loving play will be performed at the Clinton High School Autotorium. Brought to you by the Clinton Rotary Club. Tickets are $12 each and go on sale June 1st. Tickets are being sold at First Security Bank in Clinton, and at Blagg Law Firm.
