Lions Measle Challenge

“In celebration of World Immunization Week, from April 24 – 30, Lions Club International Foundation has launched a 30 day challenge to raise US $1 million for the One Shot, One Life, Measles Initiative! When you make a donation for measles during the month of April 2014, it will be matched on a 1:1 basis by the family of Abhey and Aruna Oswal, for a total of up to $500,000. During the month of April, Lions and friends who donate money in support of measles activities will have their funds matched by the Oswal family and all funds collected by LCIF will be matched by our GAVI Alliance partnership, doubling the number of children who can be vaccinated around the world. To learn how to Donate Now and Make a Difference, please go to www.lcif.org and click on the Donate Now button.
FFB LIONS BINGO returns to the Lions Den on Dave Creek Parkway on Saturday, April 12 with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and our first game at 6 p.m. There will be a $1,000 Jackpot in addition to the other regular games and snacks and beverages are available. Proceeds from BINGO go to support the FFB Lions vision program, which last year, amounted to over $4,000 in our local area. The Fairfield Bay Lions meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month and our next meeting is April 10 when our guest speaker will be Regina Chaney speaking on the Community Wellness program through the Van Buren County Extension Program. Visiting Lions and local residents are always welcome as guests for our regular meetings and please join us for Saturday Night BINGO Fever.
