The Fairfield Bay Wastewater Corporation (Department) operates and maintains four wastewater treatment facilities, forty-six miles of sewer lines and maintains over 600 grinder pumps. The Wastewater Department recently received approval from the Board to finance the much needed repairs to our Hamilton Hills facility. The funding will also be used in conjunction with the recent DRA Grant to run sewer service to the NOACON/Cravens property. This will allow for future commercial development on this property.
The Public Works Department is currently working on Christmas lights. We also have been assisting Dallas Clark on the much needed repairs to the lighting along Dave Creek Parkway. Public Works recently purchased an “Almost New” dozer after our current dozer finally “gave up the ghost” after thirty plus years of service. This dozer was immediately put into use at the Marina where we are adding an additional forty-six parking spaces. These spaces are necessary to provide parking for the 24 new boat slips being constructed.
