Van Buren County Master Gardeners Present Check to Van Buren County Special School Director Neil Wilkins

January 8, 2013 By Dan Feuer

thrift

President Eleanor Hilsenrath presents Neil Wilkins a check for $1000 to help with the cost of building a rock garden at Thrift, Gift’s & More located on Hwy 65 South.

Thrift, Gift’s & More is the adult workshop for the Van Buren County Special School. The store receives donated goods from the public and clients process items for sale. Center clients will receive payment for their work in developing and maintaining the garden as part of their personal growth plan. The Master Gardeners have been working with the Special School and chose this location because it is visible to the public and will provide a learning experience for the center clients.
