We have so many things in the works for the shelter! On May 18 we will be hosting an Open House at the FFB Shelter. You will LOVE the shelter facelift and we will tell you about the upcoming additions to our shelter! Snacks and juice will be served.
There has been much discussion around FFB about practice and policy of the local shelter. Please know we have the animals best intrests at heart! All animals brought in by animal control are held for a period of time before going to the vet or up for adoption, they are also posted with the AR. Lost and Found Network, this gives any family member time to find their furfriend if it has become lost. When reclaiming a lost pet, you will need to present current rabies vaccination and City License as well as pay the reclaim fee, which can be found in the City Ordinance. If you do not have the needed records, the employees will always work with you to get these so that you can take your furry friends home! Owner surrenders to FFB Shelter are placed immediatly for vetting, adoption or rescue. These policies have been in effect for many years.
Please feel free to call the shelter and speak to the Manager or any of the friendly employees if you have questions.. We hope to see MANY of you on May 18 from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. at the FFB Shelter!!!!”
