The Fairfield Bay Lions have two on-going fund raisers to help support our vision, youth and other community projects. First, BINGO is changing to a different night beginning this week, moving from Saturday evening to SUNDAY evening (with the times remaining the same) – doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and first game called at 6 p.m. While only adults 18 and over can play bingo under state law, youth and children are welcome to attend. Snacks and drinks are available. Our other fund raising effort is our All-U-Can Eat Breakfast with all the pancakes and biscuits and gravy you can eat, accompanied by sausage patties, coffee or milk. Adult prices are $5 and youth 5 – 12 are $3 and (children under 5 are free with a paying adult). Extra sausage patties, milk and orange juice are also available for a slight additional charge.
Our next regular meeting will be Thursday, June 12 with a dinner ($7.50 per person) of meat loaf, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, crock pot creamed corn, salad, rolls and carrot cake being served at 5:30 p.m. Our regular meeting’s with guest speaker, David Cook, Director of Project Surge in Van Buren County. At our meeting on Thursday, June 26 our guest speaker will be Mr David Deaton, CEO of Ozark Health Hospital in Clinton, AR. Please come and join us on the 2nd or 4th Thursday of each month and enjoy dinner with fellow Lions or neighbors. Reservations can be made by contacting Lion Jeanie Hooper @ 884-3202. All meetings begin with dinner at 5:30 p.m. followed by a short meeting at 6 p.m. and our guest speaker for the evening. Please come and join us and find out what the Fairfield Bay Lions are all about.
