Fairfield Bay Lions Club President Ed Roberts and the Lions Club board have declared September 2014 as membership drive month. Going along with Lions International President Joe Preston’s theme of “Strengthen the Pride” we are asking all Fairfield Bay Lions to help grow our club by joining the “Ask One” program and have one person to accompany you to our September 25 meeting. On that night our own Lion Chef Jeanie Hooper will be preparing a welcome dinner of beef roast, fried chicken, parsley potatoes, green beans, fruit salad, rolls and her special bread pudding. Guests accompanying Lions Club members will dine for free with members paying $7.50 per person as normal. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and a short informational program will follow. If you have not been contacted by a Lions Club member and would like to attend please contact our Membership Chair Lion Robert Smith @ 501=253-0552 or Lion President Ed Roberts @ 884-3679. There will be no guest speaker for this meeting but information will be provided about Lions Clubs in general and the Fairfield Bay Lions Club in particular. Please come and join us for a wonderful meal and to see what Lions World is all about.
The Fairfield Bay Lions Club meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month with dinner being served at 5:30 p.m. and our regular meeting at 6 p.m. with a guest speaker to follow. BINGO is held each Tuesday evening with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the first game called at 6 pm. Games include a $1000 blackout game with progressive numbers. Please come and join us for a regular meeting or for our BINGO fundraiser.
