May Means Pancakes

May 7, 2013 By Dan Feuer

by Jim & Phyllis Wilkins

Recently we were asked if the Fairfield Bay Lions Club still held bi-weekly pancake breakfasts and we were happy to say they will return on Saturday May 25. The All-U-Can-Eat Pancake breakfasts will be held each Tuesday and Saturday morning from 7:30 – 10 a.m. at the Lions Den on Dave Creek Parkway and will continue until thru Labor Day weekend. In addition to our All-U-Can-Eat pancakes served with sausage patties and a choice of coffee or milk, we will also be offering biscuits & gravy with sausage patties for the same price of $5 for adults, $3 for youth 6 – 12 and children 5 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult. We look forward to seeing you soon for breakfast.

Our next regular meeting will be on Thursday May 9 when our speaker will be Fairfield Bay Mayor, Community Club Director, and fellow FFB Lion Paul Wellenberger. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. followed by our regular meeting and speaker at 6 p.m. At our second monthly meeting on Thursday May 23 we will welcome fellow Lion and Van Buren County Judge Roger Hooper as our guest speaker. Dinner reservations are requested and can be made by contacting our membership chair, Lion Mary Meadows @ 884-6388. All meetings are open to visiting Lions and local residents are always welcome.

BINGO is held each Monday evening with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the first game beginning at 7 p.m. The Mark McCord musical show is held each Tuesday evening at the Lions Den from 7 – 9 p.m .and tickets are available at the door.
