Marketing The Bay

March 12, 2013 By Dan Feuer

The 2013 edition of the Greers Ferry Lake/Little Red River Vacation, Retirement, and Relocation Guide is now available all around the state. It is one of the most influential publications offered in Arkansas and is available at numerous locations.

One of our objectives is to increase awareness of FFB, not only in purchased advertising, but also through public relations and piggy back with advertising from businesses here in the Bay. There are 50 pages in the 2013 edition and FFB is mentioned via the City, Club, Businesses, or photos on 14 of those pages this year.

Pick up a copy and see the full page ad on page 39, then flip through the entire publication and look for all the FFB references, ads and photos. We feature six very familiar faces in the photos – Patsi Novia, John Conry, Henry & Charlene Burge, Ernie & Gail Campbell. They represented us beautifully in several action photos. Maybe you can get their autograph next time you see them!

Our marketing effort with GFL/LRR also extends to three remote events where they registered guests for a chance to win a free “Someday Pass”, sending the lucky winners to FFB for a 3 day/2 night stay and a chance to experience the Bay.

Those events were held at: McAllen, TX January 9 Jonesboro, AR February 8 Germantown, TN March 8

Also, the Club has resumed hosting Wyndham guests at our Welcome Breakfasts on Monday mornings at IHCC. We treat them to biscuits and gravy, tell them about the fun things and wonderful lifestyle the Bay has to offer and give away lots of prizes and gift certificates provided by the Club and local businesses. The “welcome” began this Monday, March 11 and will continue each week into the late Fall.

Watch for our visiting guests and welcome them to our community. Just like each of us, they may “Someday” call FFB their home. Community Club Board of Directors Dwayne Miller
