LIVING MODERATELY by Renee’ Jones

November 26, 2013 By Dan Feuer

Serenity Point

What a great Kick Off in the Creation of Serenity Point! Penny & I want to give a Shout of Thanks to Paul and Betty Vagedes who donated 3 bird houses, 2 bird feeders, nails, wind chimes and my Favorite, a BAT house! A great addition to hang cliffside, which aids in the reduction of mosquitos. Love it!. We Worked It OUT! Clearing weeds, limbs and doing some tree trimming. The nature path leading in is clearly marked and you can’t miss Serenity Point lot now, with its yellow ribbons on the trees and green ROCK collection box right out front. A friendly reminder: we need donations of (size) 50 cent or a little larger, rocks smooth on one side please.

Of course, we can always use extra hands for clean up so come on down and join us on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month 2:30 p.m. to 4ish & the 1st Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 2 pm. Like Penny said, “working out in Nature is so relaxing and frees you from the daily grind.” Sandra Chase commented about how refreshed and energized she felt at the end of the day. It surprised her. She expected to be wore out. As for me, it was a great stress relieves and time well spent in the beauty of God’s creation and having FUN with my neighbors. This is not an intense, regimented project. It is a Fun “let’s try this” project in which we want to keep things in “the Natural State” as much as possible, yet, making it a bit more comfortable for us humans to enjoy.
