Once again it’s Tea-Cup Auction time. What a Fun time for everyone! It will be held again this year at the Fairfield Bay Baptist Church on Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. Most people who have attended, want to come again. We’re happy for any and all donations and you may purchase envelopes for $1 for 4, $2 for 8 or $5 for 24. If you have never been to this event, then you may want to know what it’s all about. We have all kinds of items to choose from and where you place your number (collected in the “tea cup” representing that item) is what you will hopefully win. When everyone has placed their numbers in the cups, our Mayor will call out the winning number for each item. No need to get up, as we have Elves who will deliver them to you. If a person’s number is called and they are NOT present, the Mayor will call another number. There will be a drawing for a $50 (fifty dollar) gift certificate from Wal-Mart. A silent auction for a painting by local artist, Lea Berry and collector plates will also be available. We will be doing several CAKE WALKS and you may purchase pies and cookies at the Bake Sale. The fun Brown Bag Surprise (only .25 cents) is a must! You may take a chance for Maxine Woosley’s beautiful cross-stitched Christmas stocking. This year, we’ll have some very special items donated by staff member, Martha Coffman. We will even serve free refreshments! Please join us in our endeavor to provide funds to enhance the quality of life to our precious residents.
