Fairfield Bay Lions Club Membership Drive

April 6, 2016 By Dan Feuer

Currently, the FFB Lions Club is conducting a membership drive, please come and be a part of this worthwhile service organization. By joining you not only help your local community but the membership dues you pay also help provide for the projects that Lions International promote around the World. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month in the Lion’s Den at 365 Dave Creek Parkway. You are welcome to come as our guest to enjoy the wonderful dinner and fellowship with our current members. You may call Lion President Jeannie Hooper at (501) 253-3824, if you wish to attend a meeting as our guest.
The FFB Lions Club is a service organization that strives to help meet the needs of our local community through the vision program by helping with providing eye glasses for those who cannot afford them, collecting and donating used eye glasses, supporting our local youth and Boy Scout program and providing durable medical equipment for those in the community. Longtime Lion John Edmiston works diligently in the aluminum can collection that raises money for our Youth Program. Please drive by the Lion’s Den at 365 Dave Creek Parkway and drop off your aluminum cans.
Beginning Tuesday, May 31, 2016, the FFB Lions Club will hold the Pancake and Sausage Breakfast to raise money for the club. They are some of the best pancakes you have ever tasted. This year the Pancake Breakfast will only be on Tuesday mornings from 8:00 – 10:00 am. We are asking for your support in this great fundraising effort. Also, for those who may not be aware, the Club also rents out the FFB Lion’s Den for special events such as Family Reunions, Birthday Parties, Weddings and Wedding Receptions. If interested in using the Lion’s Den, please call Lion Glenn Shunneson at (501) 884-7400.
