ONE DAY Jewelry Making
Wednesday, October 14 ~ 10 a.m.-noon
Learn the basics of jewelry making, select your beads from our stock, design your earrings, necklace or bracelet and then leave with your project. Our local artisan, Bettye Ann Cooper, will have all the tools and supplies you will need to use. This class is suitable for ages 12 and up, any experience level is welcome. Cost of designing your own unique jewelry is $30.
ONE DAY Group Party Workshops – Calligraphy, Ukrainian Eggs, Watercolors
Wednesday, October 14 ~ 11 a.m.-3 p.m. or 1-3:30 p.m., Oct 7, 14, 21, 28
Talented art educator, Sue Allen Pico, leads these “party” classes for groups wanting to learn the art of penmanship, traditional wax dyed decorative eggs, or a beautiful flower or sunset watercolor. Her motto is “you can do it”, and she provides all the materials, just bring your friends! Cost varies from $25 – $30 – $45 depending on class size and option.
ONE DAY Fused Glass
Wednesdays, October 14 ~ 2-4 p.m.
Learn the art of fused glass. Local artisan, Barbara Cornett, will help you with your custom creations. All supplies and materials are furnished. This class is suitable for ages 12 and up. Any experience level is welcome. Cost of designing your fused glass piece is $35.
BLUE RIBBON BEAUTIES
Saturday, October 17 ~ 5 p.m. Gallery Reception 7 p.m. live music in the Gazebo
Reception for the artists and a gallery exhibition of first prize winning entries at the Van Buren County fair in the areas of photography, art and poetry. Live music performed by Susan Callaway, Jim Beach and Dan Eidson, refreshments provided by Edward Jones Investments. Education Center students will have their blue ribbon works displayed in the Education Center gallery from October 17 through November 19.
