Community Club January Meeting

The Community Club Board of Directors held their regular scheduled meeting on Tuesday, January 23 in the Fireside room at the Indian Hills Complex.
The board approved the December 5, 2017 minutes as presented. CFO, Tommy Hoffman, presented the board with the final budget numbers for the 2017 year end. Hoffman stated although there was a 30% decline in Wyndham visitors, the budget still came in at a positive of $76,868 for the year. The managers of their respective departments were given praise for taking the necessary steps to keep expenses down and saved over 69K in payroll.
The department managers presented their December year end reports to the board.
In New business: The board approved a rate increase for the newspaper for out of county subscribers to $40 due to the new postal increase for mailing. The in County subscriber rates will remain the same. The board also approved the 2018 annual election schedule.
GM, Rocky Nickles presented the board with two capital expenditure requests for the Public Works department. The first request was the purchase of a 20’ trailer to haul an excavator and any other equipment needed as well as materials. The other request was the purchase of a new flatbed to be added to the purchase of a 2017 550 Flatbed truck, with a total cost of approximately $49K. Both requests were approved by the board.
The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 27 at 3 p.m. in the Fireside room at the Indian Hills complex. The public is invited to attend. if unable to attend the meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook.
