BOARD OF DIRECTORS
JULY 25, 2017
The Regular Meeting of the Fairfield Bay Community Cub Board of Directors was held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room at the Indian Hills Complex.
Directors in attendance President Jack Weeks, Bill Fisher, Doug Forsman, Dave Foster, Lacey Mitchell, Nancy Mueller, and Rose Shurts.
Rocky Nickles, General Manager and Tommy Hoffman, Chief Financial Officer, were also in attendance.
There were seven managers and five guests in attendance.
President Weeks led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and Prayer.
17-68 Motion was made by Rose Shurts, seconded by Nancy Mueller, and unanimously carried to accept the June 27, 2017 Regular Meeting minutes, as amended.
The 2017 Annual Meeting Minutes were for review only.
Tommy Hoffman, Chief Financial Officer, gave the Financial Report.
The Manager Reports were given.
Lacey Mitchell reported there is a problem with getting access to the Events Calendar on the Club website. Mr. Nickles stated there has been some problems with the calendar. We will look into the problem.
Lacey Mitchell, Idea Incubator Team, stated they are working with Department Managers, not to create new events, but to help make the events bigger and better.
Dave Foster, Team 2035, announced Ken Schuette is the new Committee Chair.
Mr. Foster reported the Tiny Home issue is still under consideration. Members of the team for Tiny Home are: Dwayne Miller, Dave Foster, Chair, David McBee, Ken Schuette, and Dale Tice.
Dave Foster reported that an article detailing activities of the Fairfield Bay Community Foundation appeared in the July 12 issue of the Lake Area Weekly. He had nothing further to add.
It was reported there are three lighted pickle ball courts ready for play.
Mr. Nickles requested permission to create a multi-year plan for the front entrance and put together a committee. Plans are to remove the wall by October 1, 2017, with the rocks being repurposed. A notice will be placed in the Lake Area Weekly. 17-69 Motion was made by Rose Shurts, seconded by Lacey Mitchell, and unanimously carried to grant his request. Maps will be placed on the wall in the Conference Room at the Community club Office. Lacey Mitchell thought a suggestion box should be provided to allow people to express their ideas.
Bill Fisher suggested the Regular agenda be posted on our social media Facebook page.
17-70 There being no further business to bring before the Board, a motion was made by Lacey Mitchell, seconded by Doug Forsman, and unanimously carried to adjourn.
