This Week in Our Community
Volunteers Needed: The Friends of Bluffton are looking for volunteers interested in the outdoors, nature, and being part of the solution by helping establish safe alternative activities for our youth and helping further establishing Clinton as a destination. While working with The Nature Conservancy to establish a public kayak and canoe launch on their preserve the need to have a local support group was identified. Volunteers would be requested to make site visits to the Bluffton Preserve to insure proper use of the preserve and to help maintain the natural landscape. A volunteers obligation to the group would be a one week shift where the volunteer for that week would be responsible for completing a site visit on average of three times in that week. With enough participation volunteers to this group would be responsible for one week or three days a year. With the addition of a mountain bike trail the Bluffton Preserve will further become a destination in itself drawing visitors to Clinton and the surrounding areas and I ask if you can help us support these efforts. Anyone interested in volunteering please contact Jason at 501-745-6500 or [email protected].
