Celebrate Veteran’s Day in the Bay, November 11, 2017. November 11, 1918, was the end of World War I, The Great War, at 11 a.m. In 1919, it became known as Armistice Day. In 1936, it was changed to a national holiday and was called Veterans Day. Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Auxiliaries are inviting all Veterans and Spouses for a day of celebration. This is to honor and remember all Veterans and POWs/MIAs. The schedule will be throughout the day at the “V“ on Route 330. Between 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., breakfast will be served. There will be a ceremony in the VFW parking lot. It will start at 10:30 a.m. with the Flag raising at 11 a.m. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a brief ceremony. Did I mention it is all free? Donations will be accepted to cover the hall expenses. Hope to see you there.
