Did You Know that….
Your Heart…is the strongest muscle in your body. It beats 86,400 times a day, 33 million times a year and 3 billion times in a lifetime. It pumps 2,500 gallons of blood a day, which weighs 20 tons. All other muscles combined cannot perform this task. Your heart delivers nutrients and oxygen to 100,000 miles of blood vessels.
The Heart…removes carbon dioxide, waste and toxins from 100 trillion cells. Each cell of our body contains 3,000 enzymes producing 6,000 biochemical functions each millisecond.
Heart Disease…accounts for over 50% of all deaths. One in four men and one in three women will die at a cost of $50 billion per year.
It is the Leading Cause of Death…in Arkansas, 9,000 citizens die from heart disease. It is the leading cause of death eve though it is the most preventable of all degenerative diseases. In 1900, heart disease was the #4 cause of death and became the #1 cause in 1940. 74 years later it still holds that position.
A 30 Year Study…In 1965 a 30-year study of Homocystine was begun that ended in 1995. The study included 13,500 males and females. The study was praised in the journals of the American Medical Association and The New England Journal of Medicine.
Heart Disease is Diet Related…The American Heart Association acknowledges that all cardiovascular disease is diet related, yet they refuse to endorse the above mentioned study.
