It is that time of the year again when turkey’s need to beware. Whether they are baked, smoked or fried many will grace our tables for Thanksgiving. The Fairfield Bay Lions Club would like to wish all for our neighbors, friends, family and fellow members the very best Thanksgiving whether you are celebrating here or as we will with family in our former home town. Please let us not forget our public safety employees, officers and dispatchers, IRV and hospital workers and those who of necessity must work on the holiday, give them a special hello and thank you. The Lions Club would also like to thank all those who have helped support us throughout the year by attending our pancake breakfasts and suppers, playing BINGO with us and re-cycling eyeglasses and aluminum cans at our various collection spots in the community. Also, thanks to the businesses and offices who have allowed us to place collection boxes and containers to recycle these items.
While we have conducted our last regular meeting for 2014 the Lions Den will continue to host BINGO each Tuesday evening with doors opening at 5:30 pm and the first game called at 6 pm, with a blackout (coverall) jackpot of $1000 with progressive numbers each week. May each of you have a happy Thanksgiving and may each of us share with those who are less fortunate.
