The Fairfield Bay Community Education Center, in cooperation with the North Central Arkansas Foundation for Arts & Education, is proud to announce the opening of a special photographic exhibit entitled “Blue Ribbon Beauties.” This exhibit will feature numerous photographs by local artists which have garnered Blue Ribbon or Best of Show recognition at the Van Buren County Fair, the North Central Arkansas District Fair and/or the State Fair of Arkansas. This exhibit will be on display at the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center from February 7 through May 1 and will consist of award winning, framed, original photographs created by Jennifer Kuipers, Brandi Vandygriff, Lydia Kuipers and Lee Phillips. The purpose of the exhibit is to provide the community with an opportunity to appreciate photography as art, raise funds for the Education Center and the Foundation, and promote future interest in the digital photography classes offered by the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center in conjunction with Arkansas State University – Heber Springs. All of the photographers featured in this exhibit have participated in these classes. A special reception will be hosted at the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to launch the exhibit and provide the public with an opportunity to meet the photographers in person. Light refreshments will be provided. Please support education in Fairfield Bay by joining us at the reception and enjoying this special exhibit.
