Our Men’s Club had a great year selling our Hawgs and Dawgs and meeting our supporters in Fairfield Bay. We served over 1,000 Dawgs, 275 Hawgs, and over 100 bowls of Jerry’s famous Jambalaya in 2016. And we are about to surpass the 4,800 tally for hot dogs served since 2013!
We think you would like to know what we did with the money from our food service operation and the many donations made to our organization so here goes. During the past year we:
• Kept one family of five in their home by upgrading their plumbing and getting them tied into sewer facilities.
•Kept numerous individuals in their homes by building ramps to make their homes wheelchair accessible.
•Provided $800 of Christmas for foster children in Van Buren County.
•Provided $800 to Food for Life for Van Buren County.
•Provided $100 to Alzheimer Walk for Van Buren County.
•Provided $400 to Ferncliff Presbyterian Children’s Camp.
•Provided $200 to Care Caps, an organization started by our own Mary Phillips.
•Provided $1,000 to Outreach in the Hills here in Fairfield Bay.
•Provided $1,000 to The Sheriff’s Ranches for Children in Batesville.
•Provided $1,000 to the Maranatha Church Backpack Program for kids.
•Provided $250 to Shop with A Cop which provides toys to needy children in Van Buren County.
•Provided $250 to the Animal League because our pets are God’s creatures as well.
•Provided $300 to FFB Office of Emergency Management to provide identity shirts for OEM people.
•Provided a number of Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets for needy in the area.
Without your support, much of this would not have been possible. We hope this will make your next Hawg or Dawg taste even better! Membership in our organization is open to all men that would like to serve in a Christian group regardless of their religious affiliation.
