It was a beautiful day and a joyful event. Our thanks to the Baptist Church for hosting this event and also for donating collector plates for the silent auction. Thanks to everyone for giving their time, talents, and treasures. Where else but Fairfield Bay could you get the Mayor to come and officiate a fund raiser on a Saturday? We want to thank the Indian Rock Village staff and residents for their support. Some of the residents decorated the brown bags for the $.25 table which brought lots of smiles! The bake sale was a great success and the cake walk was a lot of fun. The prize winning carrot cake was donated by Marlene Lucas of Stringbean Restaurant. We all wanted it, but only one lucky person went home with it. The other special cake was a delicious coconut with lemon filling donated by Maxine Woosley. The $50. gift card was donated by Wal-Mart and won by Michelle Woosley. Other donations to the silent auction were art work, cake by Jeanie Hooper, manicure by Mavis. It makes our day, when a little lady receives a doll she really wanted. Is it all luck? In all things give thanks! IRV Auxiliary –Betty Edmiston-Ways & Means, Chairman.
