Summer Baseball and Softball

It’s that time of year again! The Shirley/Fairfield Bay area youth are gearing up for the 2014 summer league baseball/softball season. Without donations from area businesses and organizations such as yours, this would not be possible.
The summer league program is run by volunteers, giving their time to give kids in our area a ball program to participate in. Our program is funded by donations and sign-up fees only. The money collected is used for equipment, umpires, electricity, insurance and general park maintenance. Every season we have to do general maintenance of the fields, and the special dirt required for playing costs over $50 a truckload and over $400 for hauling. Any monetary donation would be greatly appreciated and allow us to continue to provide our program for our area youth.
Our summer league games are on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. If you’re in downtown Shirley, stop by and watch our youth play a game!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Donnie Jones, our baseball commissioner at 501-253-3723 or Heath Crow, our softball commissioner at 501-757-1359.
