Rotary Golf Tournament

One of the most popular four-person golf scrambles in Fairfield Bay is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Indian Hills golf course. The original tournament was rained out in May, so you have another opportunity to support the scholarship/grant program and have fun at the same time.

Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. in the pavilion next to the Pro Shop. The shotgun start at 10 a.m. is open to men and women for $65 per person which includes cart and green fees, awards for winners, refreshments and special events. Refreshments available from 11 to 3 include burgers, hot dogs, treats and beverages served in the pavilion. Beverages will also be available during play from golf carts traveling the course manned by friendly volunteers. Special awards will be given for a Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin and the Drive Closest to Line.

Raffle tickets are available now for $1 each or six for $5 from any Rotary Club member, or you may call Jim Hookman, Ticket Chairman at 884-6652. Prizes include: 1) A DIRECTV service and VIP installation package. The entire package can be transferred if you win but already have DIRECTV. The premier service package is for one year and includes 285 channels with HBO, Starz and Cinemax, valued at $1,950. 2) A complete DVD set (7) of all the Sopranos TV series, 3) A Slazenger Golf Tote which includes 4 sleeves of Titleist Balls, tees and towel and 4) A large Ozio sport bag. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the tournament.

If you are new to the Indian Hills golf course, or just want to practice before the tournament, a practice round is available (for tournament players only) for $15 plus tax per person on September 4, 5 and 6. You may mail your checks payable to the Rotary Club Scholarship Fund, for the entry fee, along with the names in your foursome to P.O. Box 1443, Fairfield Bay, Ar. 72088.
