The Van Buren County Quorum Court met on Thursday, October 19 at the Courhouse Annex with County Judge, Roger Hooper leading the session.
The department heads presented their reports to the court.
Much of the evening was spent reading Ordinances, Resolutions and fund transfers.
An Appropriation Ordinance to increase the projected revenue of the Solid Waste Department passed by appropriating $23,094 for tipping fees.
An Appropraition Ordinance passed to apropriate and transfer $7,267 into the General Fund from the Circuit Clerk Recorders Fund.
An Ordinance enacting a Code of Ordinances for Van Buren County, authorizes the Quorum Court to revise, amend, restate, codify any existing ordinances and future ordinances into one unified code book form.
The Code of Ordinances will consist of 14 Chapters.
Resolutions to hire full time deputies for the Sheriffs office, a detention officer for the Sheriffs office and a part-time employee for the district court were passed.
Transfer requests totaling $116,465.68 were presented to the court and passed.
