Petit Jean State Park Wildflower Tour

wildflowers 3On April 8, 2014, as part of the Wildflower Week at Petit Jean State Park, the Fairfield Bay Garden Club will participate in the wildflower events presented by the park. The event starts with an interpreter guided tour of Mather Lodge followed by a “Dutch Treat” lunch. After lunch the club members will attend a “Wild Edibles” talk and then a walking tour with Park Interpreter, Mystina, to discover the blooming wildflowers of Arkansas. Those who wish may also make the easy quarter-mile walk to the overlook of Cedar Falls. Please bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable walking shoes.
The Fairfield Bay Garden Club members will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the parking lot across from the Old Towne Conference Center, with the bus leaving promptly at 9 a.m. The fee for the bus for members is $10 and guests will pay $15.
