My Savior

Do you know,
what happened long ago,
in a place and time far away,
a man for our sins he did pay.
Oh, he had a trial,
But it only lasted a little while,
the people they hollered and they screamed,
there’s no way he’s our King.
All he was guilty of was of a healing touch,
and of loving us so much.
For his life he did not plea,
he knew it was the only way to set us free.
He let them nail him to a cross,
so all would not be lost.
Oh, but you see, he out smarted them all,
for upon his fathers name he did call.
He no longer hangs upon a tree,
he lives in heaven, waiting and pleading for
you and me.
