Is this a photo of the ten most wanted. Well, actually it is. Pictured above are ten of the graduates of Leader Dog Class 2012. They are “ some of the hardest-working four-legged heroes in history: the Leader Dog Class of 2012. Having excelled in every aspect of guide dog training, each is now a constant companion and loving partner, helping a person who is blind or Deaf-Blind to live more independently. And thanks to the heartfelt generosity of dedicated supporters, each Leader Dog and all training has been provided FREE OF CHARGE.” (www.leaderdog.com). Each year over 270 clients attend the 26 day residential training program to be paired with a guide dog. “This is a life changing event that opens the door to independence, safety and self-worth for many of the clients.” Guide dog services are provided free of charge, including room and board, travel to and from the campus in Rochester Hills, Michigan, for clients living in North America. Congratulations, graduates.
