Cooking for one or two is often difficult and the question of “what’s for dinner” often comes up around our house. Well, on Thursday, September 11 the answer to that question can be an easy one. breakfast for dinner. From 5 – 7 p.m. that evening the Lions Club of Fairfield Bay will be serving an All-You-Can-Eat Dinner for only $3 per person or $5 for two with youth under 12 only $1.50. As many pancakes or biscuits with gravy and coffee as you would like with 2 sausage patties and a glass of milk is included. (Orange juice, extra sausage or milk are available for a small additional charge). So, please come on over and help us celebrate the Fairfield Bay Lions 45th Anniversary on September 11. Come by and visit the Lions Den and check out all the banners from other Lions Clubs around the USA and other world wide clubs. During September, the FFB Lions will also be conducting a membership drive. So, while you are enjoying our anniversary dinner. Please ask one of our volunteers if you have any questions regrading the Lions Club.
The Fairfield Bay Lions meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, and with dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. (reservations requested by the Monday prior to the meeting, $7.50 per person) followed by an invocation and pledge of allegiance, a short meeting and a guest speaker. Our speakers cover a wide range of topics from Air Evac and agricultural information to state of the county, city and community messages. Eagle Scout induction ceremonies, Sheriff Youth Ranch information and other youth related topics; have also been included along with life and trip experiences of our fellow Fairfield Bay residents. BINGO is held each Tuesday evening with the doors opening at 5:30 pm and the first game called at 6pm. There is a $500 blackout with progressing numbers held every week.
