Last week, men from the John 3:16 ministies, from Charlotte, AR., came to Fairfield Bay and gave a week of hard labor to cleanup the campground at the Marina and any other jobs needed. They cut down trees, split wood and stacked it for the campers this season. John 3:16 ministries, is a spritual bot camp for men with addictions. It is a place of refuge where men can heal mentally, physically and spiritually. This is a volunteer program, designed for men who really want to make a positive change in their life, not for those looking for a free ride. This program is designed for a six month to one year stay. The ministry also offers a GED through UACCB. The ministry is run stricktly on donations from area churches and individual supporters. Deandre King, pictured above, said he has been with the ministry since 2012. “I feel this was my calling and I am now a councelor. I moved my family here from Little Rock. I have been asked if I miss where I was before, and living through Christ is my life now and I wouldn’t change it,” said Deandre.
