IRV Pageant Results

Indian Rock Village was all a buzz on Thursday,August 23rd, about the Pageant that was scheduled to happen at 2:30 in the afternoon. Corrine at Sew What in Clinton, loaned a vast array of colors and styles of formal dresses to be worn by our participants. The facilities air was thick with excitement and anticipation from families and staff. On the morning of the pageant shower was given, their hair was curled and fixed to perfection by IRV own facilities’ hairdressers Joyce and Kristie. Nails were painted, faces were cleansed by Penny Cuttone and her Mary Kay products. She applied their makeup with great expertise and gentleness and oh how beautiful they all looked. The time had arrived, friends and family were seated while Gloria Coleman played the piano. The judges were all sitting in the first row. The judges included Paul Wellenberger,Nancy Taylor Fowler, Sue Robb, ready and waiting for Misty Watts to tell each contestants life stories and comments. I know each judge had a hard time making a sound judgement on every contestant that passed with their lovely dresses on and beautiful smiles. Our contestants were escorted by Bobby Jones from our Maintenance Department, he makes our facility such a fun place and all of our ladies so happy loved being escorted by him. The ladies were seated in front of the arch that was donated by All Occasion’s flowers in Greers Ferry. The arch was decorated by Synthia Olive, Activity Assistant, with red roses and white mesh. The judges made their decision and Misty announced the second runner up was Winnie Williams, and the first runner up was Nancy Celeste Smith. The winner of the Indian Rock Village 2012 Pageant was Pauline Proctor. Sashes and arm bouquets of silk red roses and babies breath were given to the second and first runner ups. The Queen was given her crown, sash and arm bouquet of silk white roses, Casablanca lilies, red roses and babies breath, All flower arrangements were designed by Tara Morgan. A special thank you goes to the IRV auxiliary for helping to setup and lining up our contestants and serving refreshment. Also to the IRV Maintenance Department, House Keeping, Dietary, and C.N.A.’s Everyone helped in making this a great success. ** No photos available by press time.
