The lake level is 462.5, about normal for this time of year-water temp has not reached 80 at the surface, not normal. Very refreshing when you jump in the lake. The hybird fishing has slowed, may be caused by the many cool fronts that have moved thru our area. Captain Mick had a great crappie day last week, catching 25 good crappies for his customers. Bud Lady Fishing had customers Ed, Brenda, David, and Nina Littlefield fishing at point 6 on Wednesday, fishing was slow. Persistance paid off and they put 7 or 8 hybirds in the boat along with a walleye and 2 catfish. A good start for a fish cookout. All the fish were caught on live bait. I was there also and cast the checkmate lure with no results.
