A member of the current FFBCC Board, in the first year of his 3 year term, resigned in the midst of the election cycle. Review of the bylaws and consultation with our attorney, determined the appropriate course of action was to permit the election process already in motion to proceed normally. The two seats on the current Board that are up for election will be determined by the results of the vote by ownership.
The newly seated Board, following the elections, will only contain 6 Board members and will require the new Board to 1) elect officers and 2) appoint a member to serve the resigned member’s 2015-2016 year of service. That appointed year of service will fulfill year two of the resigned member’s position on the Board.
The 2016 year election cycle will then have 2 positions up for election for 3 year periods and a special position will be up for election for a 1 year term, filling the final year of the resigned term and preserving the required annual rotation for Board members.
Mark your calendar for the annual meeting, July 14, 5 p.m, at the FFB Conference Center. Results of the election will be announced at the meeting.
