Fall is definitely here and so is the Fall Fest/ Soup Cook-Off, which after several weeks of planning, will finally become a reality this Saturday, October 20 at the Fairfield Bay Mall. This will be a fun filled event with lots of activities for everyone. Beginning at 8 a.m., the cookie and baked goods sale begins. at 10 a.m., the vendors booths will be open for business. At 11 a.m., the soup tasting begins and there are thirteen entries this year for the tasting by all the judges: you who will determine this year’s soup cookoff winner, with prized being awarded at 1 p.m. after all the votes are tabulated. Get ready to sample all these soups: Yacht Club – Navy Bean Soup. Peace Lutheran – German Dumpling Soup. Jack’s – Sun Dried Tomato w/ Tortellini. Little Red – Crab & Shrimp Bisque. Windsor Health Plan – Cream of Potato w/ Ham. Jerry Thompson- Southwestern Tortilla Soup. Rotary Club- Tamale Soup. FFB News – Taco Soup. Wine Club – Bacon Cheese Soup. St. Francis Church- Beefy Italian Vegetable. Faith Lutheran – Vegetable Beef. A+ Insurance – Shrimp/ Crab Bisque. Baptist Church – Taco Soup. You can purchase a ticket to sample all the soups for $5 which includes sample cups, drink,napkin and spoon. Entertainments includes demonstrations of line daincing at 10 a.m., followed by cloggers and Zumba dancers. Special guests from the American Accordian Association will be strolling through the mall at 1:15 p.m. entertaining us. Bring your friends, family and lawn chairs and join in the fun.
