DPS Receives MedReturn Drug Collection Unit

Drug ReceptacleThe Fairfield Bay Police Department was selected by the Arkansas Department of Health to receive a MedReturn Drug Collection Unit. The Arkansas Trauma System’s Injury and Violence Preventions funds purchased these units as part of an important community-based collaborative approach to address the illicit and illegal use of prescription drugs- a priority injury and violence prevention initiative. Police Chief John Willoughby attended a ceremony to receive the MedReturn Drug Collection Unit at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock on October 1. The Collection Unit has been installed at the Department of Public Safety and is available for you to turn in unused, expired, or no longer needed prescription drugs. It is important that these drugs are disposed of properly.
