The Little Red River Chapter met on Saturday, March 9, in the First Electric Cooperative building in Heber Springs. Due to the absence of Regina Jo Lee Larsson, Vice Regent Fritzie Statler conducted the meeting.
Vice Regent Fritzie Statler opened the meeting with NSDAR Ritual, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, the American’s Creed and Preamble and the Pres. General Message was read.
The 112nd Continental Congress will hold their National meeting in Washington, DC June 26-30. Dora Robinson will be attending, representing the Little Red River Chapter.
A thank you was read from state treasurer for donation to the State Regent’s scholarship fund.
Member Ruth Rasmussen gave the program “This Old House” Ruth showed photographs of the early residence of Benjamin Fry, one of her ancestors. This house still stands along Cedar Creek in Virginia.
The April 12 meeting will be held at the American Heritage Center of Harding University in Searcy.
