Community Education Center Spring Kick Off
The Fairfield Bay Community Education Center will reopen on Tuesday, February 2 for the 2016 season. In addition to all our currently schedule events, in celebration of Fairfield Bay’s 50th Anniversary, we will focus on our areas earliest peoples and their 4,000 year old legacy from the Indian Rock Cave (Edgemont Shelter on the National Register of Historic places).
Sterling scholars lecture series.
Kicking off on February 3 with Dr. Emily Beam PH D Archeology, presenting information on how to become an explorer with the Arkansas Archeology Survey.
On March 2, we will host Dr. Debra Burris, PH D Astro Physics, presenting on Geocaching and orienteering.
On May 4, Dr. Jamie Brandon, PH D Archeology, will share research and items from our cave and the Ozark Shelter project.
