The Community Club Board of Directors met on Tuesday, August 22 in the Fireside room for their regular scheduled meeting. The minutes from the July meeting and financials were approved as presented.
Tommy Hoffman, CFO, stated that the Clubs cash position is 100K ahead of last years figures. In spite of the lack of revenue due to fewer Wyndham guests, the Club is still financially strong. Some Capital expenditures have been placed on hold for now until the Club see’s where things stand toward the remainder of the year. The remodeling of the Cliffside Condos has taken longer than expected and has caused the reduced numbers in Wyndham visitors.
Rocky Nickles, GM. introduced the new management team of the Little Red Restaurant, Nihad and Kelly Ruhotina. Watch for further information in upcoming issues about menu changes and other changes to come.
In new business, the Board approved the Lake Area Sports live video feed of local sporting events. This is an added feature to the Lake Area Weekly and should be a welcome addition for the subscribers. The live video fee through LiveStream, an online video streaming service, will also be used to stream the Board meetings and other events throughout the year. The current board meetings were being streamed through Facebook which has proven to be unreliable.
Manager reports: John Conry, Marina Manager, made some changes to when boats are rented and has increased rental hours significantly.
Recreation: Bowling continues to see an increase in traffic and revenue and they are gearing up for the fall leagues. The Cool Pool Complex will be closing Tuesday, September 5.
GM Report: Rocky reported that the City should be getting an answer soon on the loan process for the development of the Hotel. The Tiny Homes project is in the hands of the 2035 Team with potential plans of using the mobile home park area as the first location. An ATV/UTV Poker run is scheduled for Saturday, September 16. Maps of the Northwood Hills trails will be available soon.
The Board has received documents to review for discussion of Corporate Policy on Perks. The policy will be addressed during the work session and voted upon at the next board meeting in September.
