Our insurance provider has now delivered the check in the amount of $786K for the coverage on the lost building. Funding for debris removal and content coverage is still pending. The site was released for cleanup on 10/29/14 and the process will initiate in the near term.
The Board formed a project committee to manage the Club’s input to our construction management company and architect. Committee members are Paul Wellenberger, Dwayne Miller, Ken Schuette and John Tyer.
A conceptual 2400 square foot seasonal food service operation plan was approved by the Board for presentation to an architect for design evaluation. The architectural firm selected for this project is Cahoon Steiling Architects from Jonesboro, Arkansas.
NoaCon, who performed the renovations for the new Club/City offices at the Indian Hills site and also renovated the former Bay Center building to meet the needs of Ozark Health, has been selected as our construction management company. They provided the Board a provisional timeline of the steps that must be followed to open the new BayView operation by Memorial Day, 2015. Near term deadlines include:
12/12/14 – Architectural Design approval
12/12/14 – Complete cleanup of the fire site
Updates will continue to be provided through this space and a Town Hall meeting has been scheduled for December 9, 2014 @ 2:00 in the conference center.
