Arkansas Lions

Arkansas has long been involved with Lions Club. Arkansas was an early and eager participant in Lionism. Multiple District was formed in 1918, one year after the first Lions Club was founded in Chicago. Arkansas State Lions, MD-7, represents the Lions Clubs in four sub-districts within the state of Arkansas. MD-7 is governed by the Council of Governors, consisting of the District Governors and the Council Chair. The Council Chair is elected from the preceding years District Governors. The Arkansas Lions Club State Administrative Office is located in Little Rock, Arkansas.” ( The Fairfield Bay Lions Club is located in District 7-O, one of the four sub-districts and meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at the Lions Den located on Dave Creek Parkway. Meetings begin with dinner served at 5:30 p.m. (reservations requested – 884-6388) and the general meeting and speaker at 6 p.m. If you would like more information about becoming a FFB Lion please contact our Membership Chair, Lion Mary Meadows @ 884-6388. All meetings are open to the public and visiting Lions are most appreciated.

Our next regular meeting will be Thursday, October 10 and our guest speaker for the evening will be Dale James with Clinton Funeral Home. He will be speaking on alternatives to the high cost of funerals. For the Thursday, October 24 meeting, our guest speaker will be Sherry Guess, Director of Fairfield Bay Community Education Center, who will speak on general information about the Education Center and coming classes. Monday, September 30 will be our last BINGO evening for 2013, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the first game called at 6 p.m.
