Fairfield Bay is known for it’s quality people and the volunteerism that is performed by so many. Each year the City recognizes individuals for their outstanding achievements and they are presented with the Kellenberg and Cuat Community Service Award.
This year Ed McCutcheon for his many years of service by providing sound during many of the events held throughout the Bay and calling names during lunch at the Senior Center.
Ron and Linda Milligan were also recognized for their efforts in cleaning up the campground at the marina. They have cleared brush and cut numerous cords of wood making the park much cleaner and easier for patrons to use the facility. They are also responsible for building the recycle Center Education Center Pavilion. Volunteers like them are what makes Fairfield Bay a wonderful place to live.
Mayor Wellenberger presented an individual plaque to each and the Kellenberg/Cuat plaque has their names engraved on it and the plaque is hung in the lobby of the City office building.
